Free SEND Resources for Schools

Our sensory boxes have been designed specifically for schools, providing simple, practical tools that support pupils’ regulation, focus and readiness to learn throughout the school day. Many children, particularly those with SEND, experience differences in how they process sensory input, which can make busy classroom environments overwhelming and impact their ability to engage.

By offering structured, easy-to-use resources that can be built into everyday routines, our boxes help staff meet sensory needs in the moment, reduce dysregulation and support pupils to stay in class, participate and access learning more successfully.

CLASSROOM VR

Using VR headsets in schools opens up a whole new world for pupils, especially those who find traditional learning environments overwhelming or hard to access. Through the Gympanzees Lending Library, children can explore immersive, visual experiences that bring learning to life in a way that feels engaging, accessible and achievable. From exploring space to discovering new environments, VR allows pupils to engage with learning without the pressure to keep up with others.

VR can also play a valuable role in supporting emotional regulation. Many children with SEND experience differences in how they process sensory input, meaning that busy, noisy classrooms can quickly lead to feeling overwhelmed. The headset creates a more controlled sensory environment, reducing noise, visual distractions and unpredictability. This helps the brain better filter and respond to input, supporting a calmer, more regulated state.

MOVE IT MY WAY

This box supports children who need movement, deep pressure or sensory input to feel regulated and ready to learn. Carefully selected equipment helps pupils meet their sensory needs in a safe and structured way.

The box includes all the equipment you need to run various sensory circuits, plus a booklet explaining how it all works. There are picture cards for each activity and a 'Now, Next Then' choice board to aid visual cues.

Perfect for sensory circuits, movement breaks, or transitions, this box supports both co-regulation and growing independence. It helps children recognise what their bodies need, building confidence, focus and emotional regulation throughout the school day.

SENSORY SUPPORT KIT

The Sensory Support Kit provides simple, effective tools to help children who are feeling overwhelmed, anxious or dysregulated. It includes a range of resources designed to calm or alert the sensory system, depending on individual needs.

Easy to use in the classroom, these tools support sensory breaks, transitions and moments when a child needs to reset. They also encourage the development of self-regulation skills, helping pupils feel more in control, supported and ready to learn.
