Free SEND resources for schools

Our sensory boxes are designed specifically for schools, providing simple, practical tools that support pupils’ regulation, focus and readiness to learn throughout the school day.

Many children, particularly disabled children and those with SEND, process sensory input differently. Busy classroom environments can feel overwhelming, making it harder to engage, participate and access learning.

By offering structured, easy-to-use resources that can be built into everyday routines, our boxes help staff respond in the moment, reduce dysregulation and support pupils to stay in class and take part more successfully.

CLASSROOM VR

Using VR headsets in schools opens up new ways for pupils to engage with learning, particularly for those who find traditional classroom environments overwhelming or difficult to access.

Through the Gympanzees Lending Library, pupils can explore immersive, visual experiences that bring learning to life in a way that feels accessible and achievable. From exploring space to visiting new environments, VR allows pupils to engage without the pressure to keep up with others.

VR can also support emotional regulation. By creating a more controlled sensory environment, it reduces noise, visual distractions and unpredictability, helping pupils feel calmer and more able to focus.

MOVE IT MY WAY

This box supports pupils who need movement, deep pressure or sensory input to feel regulated and ready to learn.

It includes equipment to run sensory circuits, alongside a clear guide, picture cards for each activity and a ‘Now, Next, Then’ board to support visual communication.

Designed for use during sensory circuits, movement breaks and transitions, it supports co-regulation while building independence. It helps pupils recognise what their bodies need, supporting confidence, focus and emotional regulation throughout the day.

SENSORY SUPPORT KIT

The Sensory Support Kit provides simple, effective tools to support pupils who are feeling overwhelmed, anxious or dysregulated.

It includes a range of resources designed to either calm or alert the sensory system, depending on individual needs.

Easy to use in the classroom, these tools support sensory breaks, transitions and moments when a pupil needs to reset. They also help develop self-regulation skills, supporting pupils to feel more in control and ready to learn.
