If I am not going to be in, can I leave the equipment with a neighbour?

Yes. But you will need to specify this in the notes section when you reserve your item or let a member of staff know. We will need to know the full address and name of person we are leaving the equipment with. This person will sign for it on behalf of you.

I am shielding, can we still loan some equipment?

We have safety measures in place to keep you and our staff safe. We will keep a 2 meter distance at all time and our staff and volunteers will be wearing the correct PPE. All equipment is cleaned thoroughly after each loan and left for three days before being prepared for loaning again.

We are self-isolating due to Covid-19. Can we still loan some equipment?

Yes. We have safety measures in place to keep you and our staff safe. We will leave the equipment outside of your house and ring the bell. Our volunteers will then return to a safe distance and take a picture of the item with your open door. All equipment is left for three days prior to being cleaned. It is cleaned and wrapped and then left for a further three days, ready to be loaned again.

The school/ nursery my child goes to would like to loan some equipment, is that possible?

This is something we are looking into. For now, the lending library is designed for families and in their own homes.

I’m not sure what equipment is suitable for my child, can you help?

Yes, absolutely. You can drop us an email - lendinglibrary@gympanzees.org or you can chat to someone on 07761913466. We’ll need a bit more information on your child’s disability so we can find the most suitable pieces of equipment for you.

Do you know of any grants available? I would love to purchase some of the equipment, but it's too expensive.

We have compiled a list of useful grants that may be helpful. This list is available on request. Please email lendinglibrary@gympanzees.org
